MEET THE 2023 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
President / Competitions Committee Chair
Jenn has been a part of the DNB board for several years. She has held many different roles, including communications rep, NBEA rep, director at large, and now sits as show committee chair and president. She purchased her current horse, Sirpico at 10 months from Huntington Farm in Vermont in 2013.
Vice President / Communications Director / Special Events Committee Co-Chair
Julie has been involved with DNB as a competitor and volunteer for many years. She wanted to get more involved, so she joined the board in 2019. She has been competing at DNB shows for many years and hopes to continue to attend with her horse Davinci.
Natalie's joined the board in 2018, she has been a competitor at the DNB shows for several years. A former pony club member who returned to riding in 2011 and purchased her first horse at this time. Natalie competed AA first level in the 2019 season with her horse, Legacy.
Treasurer / Membership Director
Alexis has been involved with the DNB board for the past couple years. Alexis returned to riding in 2009 and purchased her current horse, Sam, in 2012.
Director at large / Sponsorship Committee Co-chair
Tammy Smith has been riding and working with horses her entire life. She’s been known to cross disciplines - participating and competing in everything from eventing to cattle penning, extreme trail and, more recently, western dressage with her 13-year-old Quarter Horse gelding, Laker. Tammy and her husband Jerry, own and operate River Meadow Stables, a full-service boarding facility located in Norton, NB.

Krista has been involved as a competitor in DNB shows over the last few years. She grew up with a love for horses and decided to take up her passion 5 years ago. She recently purchased a new gelding , Ricoh and is excited to start the show season off with a new partner.
HEATHER VAN AGTEN
Director at Large
Heather has recently joined the board after getting back into the show ring in 2022. Heather has been involved with horses her entire life, and brings her experience serving on the board of directors for NS RIDERS from 2002-2008. Heather and her husband own and operate Spruce Lane Farms producing quality sport horses and haskap berries.
Director at Large
Lesley has been involved with horses most of her life. An EC-certified coach for 25 years, she is dedicated to guiding others in their equestrian endeavors. A familiar sight in the DNB show ring, Lesley and her current horse Kamil Jahuar (Missy) have successfully competed at training through to FEI levels. Although recently retired from competition, this pair continues to explore their passion for the sport from the comfort of home.
