DNB Year End Awards

                                              DNB Year End Champion & Reserve Champion Criteria

  • To be eligible for this award, horse/rider combinations must compete in a minimum of two Dressage New Brunswick (DNB) competitions during the current competition year.

  • Champions and Reserve Champions will be awarded for each level and division (e.g., First Level 

        Junior) based on the highest and second-highest final averages.

  • Year-end award standings will be calculated by taking the top two scores earned at each competition attended and then averaging them. The averages calculated from each show will be added together and then divided by the number of shows attended to determine the final year-end average.

  • In the event of a tie, the single highest score achieved during the competition year will be used as the tiebreaker.

Dressage New Brunswick Stall Plaque Application

This award recognizes the achievements of horse and rider combinations. Please complete all required fields to submit your application by the deadline September 28, 2026.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for this award, both riders and horse owners must be current DNB members. The scores for this award can be accumulated from 2010 onward.


  • Introductory to First Level – 4 scores of 63%
  • Second Level and above – 4 scores of 60%

  • Minimum of 3 scores from gold or bronze competitions in New Brunswick
  • Up to 1 score may be from out-of-province gold or bronze competition
  • 3 out of 4 scores must be from different judges
  • Each plaque can only be received once per horse and rider combination

DNB Lapel Pin Application Form

To be eligible for this award, riders must be current DNB members. This award recognizes achievements of riders competing in gold shows. Scores can be accumulated from 2008 onward. Each lapel pin can only be received once per rider.

Award Level Requirements


Bronze Lapel Pin

  • Total of 12 qualifying scores required
  • 4 scores from Training Level at 63% or higher
  • 4 scores from First Level at 63% or higher
  • 4 scores from Second Level at 63% or higher
  • Each level must include scores from at least 3 different competitions

Silver Lapel Pin

  • Total of 12 qualifying scores required
  • 4 scores from Third Level at 60% or higher
  • 4 scores from Fourth Level at 60% or higher
  • 4 scores from Prix St. George at 60% or higher
  • Each level must include scores from at least 2 different competitions

Gold Lapel Pin

  • Total of 8 qualifying scores required
  • 4 scores from Intermediate at 60% or higher
  • 4 scores from Grand Prix at 60% or higher
  • Each level must include scores from at least 2 different competitions

All scores must be verified with supporting documentation including photocopied or scanned test sheets or EC scores listings.

Out-of-Maritimes Funding Application

This $100 award is presented to a maximum of 10 horse/rider combinations that have attended a gold competition outside of the Maritimes. To be eligible, riders and horse owners must be current DNB members and have attended a minimum of two New Brunswick gold dressage competitions within the current year.

If more than 10 combinations qualify, a draw will take place during the DNB annual awards banquet for those members in attendance.
